Primeplus Senior Centers relies on the financial contributions of the community to create new beginnings for all seniors. Without you, seniors would not have access to these important programs and services. We work side by side with our community to assure that no senior is left home alone, without access to nutrition, activities and support. Ways you can Support Primeplus

Individual Giving

Each year, we host our Friends of Primeplus campaigns during the summer and again at year’s end. Gifts made during these campaigns directly support the programs and services offered at your senior center.

United Way

You can designate your United Way contribution to Primeplus Senior Center using Code #5062. Your directed gift ensures funding comes straight to support our seniors.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Sponsorship is a wonderful way for businesses and organizations to invest in the well-being of our community’s older adults.

Opportunities include sponsoring:

• An individual class
• A scholarship fund
• Coffee & Chat gatherings
• A week of educational or fitness programming

Sponsors receive recognition on our website. Sponsorship levels vary,  please contact our office for more information.

Corporate Giving

Does your company support the community through volunteerism or fundraising initiatives? Select Primeplus Senior Center as your charity of choice, and we will partner with you to ensure a successful and meaningful event. Many companies also offer charitable foundation grants or employee-directed giving programs. Our Development Office is happy to assist if your company offers these options.

Naming Opportunities

Many donation levels include naming opportunities. Honor yourself, your family, or a loved one by naming a room, class, or designated area within our building. Schedule a meeting with us to explore available opportunities.

In-Kind Gifts

To help keep operational costs low, we gratefully accept donations of goods and services. In-kind contributions are tax-deductible and may include:

Planned Giving & Bequests

Including Primeplus in your estate plans is a powerful way to ensure our mission continues for generations to come. Planned gifts help us sustain programs that allow seniors to age gracefully and in place. You may name Primeplus as the beneficiary of a life-income gift or estate gift.

Sample Bequest Language

If you choose to include Primeplus in your Will or Trust, you may use the following language:

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath to Primeplus, a nonprofit organization whose mailing address is PO Box 9302, Norfolk, VA 23505, ____ percent of my estate (or the sum of $____; or ____ percent of the residue of my estate) to support Primeplus’ greatest needs.

Additional Planned Giving Options:

Life Insurance & IRAs

Naming Primeplus as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy is a simple and meaningful way to give. Similarly, designating Primeplus as the beneficiary of your IRA may help avoid certain taxes, as we are a nonprofit organization.

Appreciated Securities

Donating appreciated stock may allow you to avoid capital gains taxes while supporting our mission. To transfer stock, please call Bob Batcher at (757) 598-0057 or email rbatcher@primeplus.org.

Charitable Trusts

Two types: Charitable Remainder Trusts provide annual income to the donor (often for life), with the remaining principal benefiting Primeplus. Charitable Lead Trusts provide income to Primeplus for a specified period, after which the principal returns to the donor or designated beneficiaries.
